Exhibition Finished!

I have returned home after being away for two and a half weeks in Cheltenham where I was taking part in an exhibition called A Celebration of Craftsmanship and Design. I sold all but one of the pieces I took with me, so it was very successful!

I have just finished embroidering a robin today so I can start a new piece tomorrow. I need to get some work together for a local embroiderers guild exhibition next month and for a RSPB auction that I was asked to donate to in November

We have aquired a new tabby tom cat who likes to hug you at night (put one paw each side of your neck and rest his head on your face!) so that is now 3 cats and 2 dogs (!)

It seems I may have a commission from the exhibition in Cheltenham as well so it is back to work!

Introduction

Today (Friday 6th June 2008) is the first day of my blog where technology gets up and hits me in the face again!
I thought I would like to keep a note of the things I do as a professional hand embroiderer to allow me to show people my work, and to find people who like to talk about the same things as me.

My day so far -

I spent this morning trying to update my website, adding Inspiration Packs for sale, it is slightly frustrating but it will be worth it when it is done!!
This afternoon I went to a meeting of the Embroiderers Guild in Swansea with my Mum and managed to get a small amount done on a wedding present I am embroidering for a friend (it may be ready for their first anniversary though!)
This evening I started writing my book on embroidering birds which is quite exciting but daunting too. Not to mention writing my first blog!!

So if you have any comments please share them with me!!
